After 20 Years Globe-Trotting David Comes Home to The Wirral

Nov. 29, 2010 - PRLog -- AFTER two decades working in some of the most exotic locations in the world, the position of Deputy General Manager at Ledsham’s luxury Inglewood Manor Hotel has enabled 43 years old David Beaufort to return to his native Wirral.

The Wallasey lad who began his hotel and catering career at Thornton Hall in the early 80s before taking a job as a trainee chef on the QE2, went onto hold positions at hotels in Bermuda, Dubai and Australia before finally heading home.

“Although I’ve been home to Wallasey a number of times over the years, my career took me some astonishing places and I did not consider coming back until my last job in Perth, Australia,” said David.

“However, I decided that if I was to come home I would first need to find a position at the right calibre of hotel. I did my research, found Inglewood on the net and was immediately impressed. I decided to apply.

“The fact that Inglewood’s General Manager Fiona Creed replies personally to every comment card and review from guests was a wow factor. It illustrated this was a hotel that cared about quality of service.”

Having worked alongside celebrity chefs like Kevin Woodford at restaurants in London and the Isle of Mann and having experienced the luxury standards of internationally renowned hotels across the world ‘quality’ is important to David.

“I was delighted to be offered the job during the summer and have been settling in ever since,” added David who is currently living in Wallasey. “I like to think I can bring some new ideas to even further enhance the Inglewood experience for guests and I’m getting great support from Fiona and her team.”

General Manager Fiona said: “David’s vast experience in the industry is more than welcome here at Inglewood where we strive to give our guests the very best quality of service possible. I’m very pleased to have him as my deputy.”
