In both 2009 and 2010, it was the venue of choice for LINC Asia-Pacific, which required a venue that could comfortably host its exhibition and meetings, while also delivering a first-class delegate experience. By providing a total solution package to the event organiser, AsiaWorld-Expo was able to greatly simplify the event planning and management process. By adding value and proactively working to ensure the success of the event, AsiaWorld-Expo made an excellent impression on both the event organizer and delegates alike. This high-profile event is now confirmed to return to AsiaWorld-Expo in 2011.
In November 2010, the venue was also the proud host of a landmark public show, the “River of Wisdom – Animated Version of the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival” Exhibition, attended by one million people – a record for any event in Hong Kong. The venue’s ability to smoothly handle an event of this scale, including crowd management, security and F&B services, is testament to its world-class facilities and expertise.
New facilities keep pace with evolving market needs
To address the needs of medium-scale events, AsiaWorld-Expo has recently launched Runway 11, an elegant new conference and banqueting hall.
Covering 4,400 square metres, this fully carpeted, column-free space combines style and comfort to accommodate a wide range of events from 500 to 3,800 guests. Runway 11’s contemporary design makes it ideally suited to cocktail parties, product launches, celebratory parties and fashion galas. Its cutting-edge design also includes a sophisticated programmable lighting system, enabling the creation of a unique, tailor-made ambience.
