By: MilModa Art Semi-Abstract Chester artist Jenny Ryrie is displaying works in the show. A few of her pieces are heavily influenced by coastline memories and although she loves to travel internationally to gain inspiration for her paintings, the beauty and tranquillity of the Chester countryside gives her the environment she feels content to create in her exceptional paintings. A strongly coloured landscape piece on display called ‘Yellow Birches Scarlett Hills’ with its vivid colours, brings the wall to life. Jenny said “My paintings are colourful and expressive explorations of different landscapes with an emphasis on the spirituality of nature. I work in watercolour and mixed media on paper”. One of MilModa Art’s national artists’ passions is painting hidden beauty. Having lived in Chester as a child, Fleur Deakin feels people should observe more the historical architecture of our stunning city and the hidden beauty it has to offer residents and tourists alike. Fleur comments “My meaning of hidden beauty can be as simple as observing flowers growing out of crevices in the walls. Today we walk around architectural history and botany with closed eyes as people go about their hectic lives”. In her early works of architectural elements, Fleur was strongly influenced by cityscape. Today, as an established artist, her original, one-off paintings are in high demand. Her unique canvas works are created with vivid colours and have a stunning glass like effect. She also considers herself an eco-friendly artist as her works incorporate various materials within her paintings, ranging from gold leaf to lace and recycled palette paint. Everything she collects has a use, including memories of locations visited. For the viewer to appreciate these works, they are a must to be seen in reality for their distinctive style. Michelle Linger, proprietor of MilModa Art, who personally selects all the paintings said “We look forward to meeting you at Mollington Grange and seeing old and new faces from in and around Chester and Cheshire”. ‘Noel Noel’ art show has class, culture and beauty as well as being well presented and once seen it will be your season’s highlight.
