Angels For Animals – Help Homeless Pets This Holiday Season

There's no better time than the holidays for giving to those less fortunate, and the needy residents at your local animal shelter are no exception.

PRLog - Nov. 26, 2010 - The homeless dogs and cats need donations of food and supplies throughout the year - but especially during the holidays, when donations decline this time of year. What's more, since few animals find homes during the holidays, many shelters are at capacity and need donations more than ever.

Montville Pet Parents and Boiling Springs Savings Bank are teaming up to help the Montville Animal Shelter with an “Angels for Animals” program. This program encourages pet lovers to share the holiday spirit of giving with animals in need by donating food, toys and treats for dogs and cats at the Montville Animal Shelter.

“Angels for Animals” collection will be held at Boiling Springs Savings Bank, 448 Main Rd, Towaco. From now through December 31st items that will help the over 50 cats and 5 dogs currently at the shelter can be brought to the bank and dropped off in the collection bins. Bring an item of your choice or choose one of the needed items below. When you’re there, enjoy a cup of coffee and ask about how you can help homeless pets through Boiling Springs’ Community Alliance Program.

Be an Angel for Cats & Kittens: Dry Kitten food, Dry or Canned Cat Food, Kitty Litter (Tidy Cat or Wal-Mart), Towels

Be an Angel for Dogs: Canned food for dogs, Dry food for dogs, Dog treats, Rawhide Bones, Pigs Ears, Dog toys, Sheets, Towels, Blankets (not crocheted or knitted)
