Nov. 25, 2010 - PRLog -- Since January of this year, world-leading airline pilot training company CTC Aviation Group plc has seen a dramatic increase in the demand for pilots from client airlines suggesting a substantial industry recovery. CTC facilitates airline placement for pilots through their industry-leading pilot training and resourcing programmes “CTC Wings” and “CTC FlexiCrew”.

“This has, without doubt, been one of the busiest seasons we have experienced with regard to pilot placement.  We are seeing partner airlines requesting pilots for the 2011 season far earlier than in previous years and we are delighted to be able to support our clients as we move into these more positive times. As a flight training provider we are maintaining a fantastic and unrivalled placement record for our “CTC Wings” graduate pilots by securing positions with low cost and legacy carriers either through “CTC FlexiCrew” or directly with the airline.  This year new cadet placements have hit a record breaking 292 for 2010 alone" said Captain Lee Woodward, Head of CTC Wings and Executive Director for CTC Aviation.

“As the industry recovers from the doldrums, we expect that all CTC Wings Cadet pilots completing their Instrument Rating training this winter will be offered airline placement immediately and we are confident that there will be a sustained demand for new pilots throughout 2011, 2012 and beyond.  That’s great news for our industry and particularly for those considering a future career as an airline pilot.”

CTC has trained over 260 pilots for easyJet alone for the 2010/11 season to date, which further endorses their position as the airline’s preferred supplier of new and experienced pilots.

However, demand for ab-inito pilots is not just limited to Europe.  CTC is also supporting Australia’s award winning low cost carrier Jetstar in its extraordinary Pan Asian expansion plans.  Earlier this year CTC secured an agreement with the airline to recruit and train up to 70 new pilots during 2010.  In addition, the operator plans to increase its fleet by a further 100 aircraft over the next 5 years.

In recent years, CTC has placed more than 1500 pilots with airlines around the world.  The vast majority are graduates of the company’s world-renowned “CTC Wings” Cadet route - a programme that selects and trains individuals with little or no previous flying experience and places them with one of the company’s growing list of Partner Airlines.

Looking forward to next year, CTC is set to exceed its unrivalled placement record yet again.  As a result the company has re-opened the licensed pilot route (ATP) into “CTC Wings” in order to fulfill the overall client airline demand.

CTC also recently announced an agreement to recruit in excess of 400 pilots for flydubai – Dubai’s new low cost airline – over the next 3 years.
