McGladrey’s Morrie Oldham Elected Vice Chairman, Joint Trial Board Division for AICPA

Nov. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- CHICAGO – (November 23, 2010) – Morris (Morrie) Oldham, partner with McGladrey & Pullen LLP, a licensed CPA firm that provides assurance services under the McGladrey brand, was recently elected vice chairman for the American Institute for Certified Public Accounts’ (AICPA’s) Joint Trial Board Division for 2011-2012. Oldham will become chairman of the Joint Trial Board for its 2012-2013 year.

The AICPA’s Joint Trial Board Division is responsible for adjudicating alleged violations of the bylaws and/or code of conduct of the AICPA or the ethics codes of participating state CPA societies.  The Division also acts on petitions requesting reviews of decisions of the Center for Audit Quality Governing Board. Oldham has served as a member of the Joint Trial Board since October 2007, and has been a partner with McGladrey & Pullen and/or its predecessor’s since 1980.

Oldham previously served on the AICPA Council as well as the AICPA’s Professional Ethics Executive Committee.  He also served in numerous leadership positions in the Illinois CPA Society

Oldham graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.S. in Accountancy. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois, and frequently speaks a the state and national level on topics that are relevant to CPAs.
