Follow on Google News | Bayview Construction receives EPA certificationStuart, Florida based Bayview Construction has received certification from the United States Environmental Protection Agency to conduct lead-based paint renovation, repair and painting activities in target housing and child-occupied facilities.
By: Jim Hill Lead-based paint for residential use was banned in 1978; however, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission almost 38 million U.S. homes still contain some lead-based paint. To reduce public exposure to lead hazards, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency began requiring training and certification to ensure the proficiency of contractors who offer and perform lead-based paint activities. Bayview Construction’ “Renovation activities on older structures disturbs lead-based paint and creates lead hazards,” said Bayview Construction president Ken Ringe. “This certification reflects we know the proper techniques to mitigate hazards and that our staff has been trained.” Bayview Construction, headquartered in Stuart, Florida is a certified state-licensed general contractor. A national award-winning company in construction and safety, and a Treasure Coast Builders Association Builder (TCBA) of the Year award recipient, Bayview has been in operation for more than 32 years.
