Although they do face the threat from the Talban and death threats from fundamentalists, they have actually brushing aside the treat and diving in to produce Pashto songs and music. A Marathi singer from Mumbai is too making a name for herself in Afghanistan by singing Afghani songs. Sharon Osser from Mumbai cannot speak Pashto fluently but says that the Marathi language is somewhat similar to Pashto and has helped her to sing songs in the Afghani language.
