With decades of traditional public markets experience, Mario Romano had never seen himself as a “global educator” but that is what he has become. An unlikely meeting created a partnership that became Wealth Engineering. Former financial professional Mario Romano asked Annette Raynor, a well-respected financial information technology professional, to assess a software algorithm program that monitored the cash flow of publicly traded companies. Mario Romano remembers Raynor being so impressed with the technology that she felt it should be made available to everyone who held an investment of any kind.
Mario Romano already knew the power of the information for investors, and with this technology assessment he committed himself to the further development and distribution of the product. This analysis tool became the framework for what would ultimately become the full-featured platform that Wealth Engineering markets today.
While Wealth Engineering maintains a marketing distribution agreement for the product platform, the company that actually owns and operates the platform is Global Investor Services, Inc. (a publicly traded company; trading symbol (GISV). This distribution agreement is what catapulted Mario Romano onto the global stage. Mario Romano says that Wealth Engineering now provides a variety of advisory services including strategic marketing to professional firms, alternate channels and expansion of direct consumer sales campaigns. The company’s marketing efforts resulted in a substantial contract with Questrade, one of Canada's leading online trading discount brokerage firms. On the heels of that relationship Mario Romano secured a second agreement, this time with The Cougar Group for expansion into the Asian Market. Mario Romano states that he is impressed with the extensive network The Cougar Group has in Asia.
The Cougar Group has advised Mario Romano that it has approached major stock brokerage firms throughout the Asian markets and received positive responses. GISV is crafting a technology roadmap that will deliver InvestView content to Asian investors in various phases. While the primary focus of Wealth Engineering is strategic marketing of the product platform, these key strategic alliances have opened up the world to Mario Romano and Wealth Engineering.
Mario Romano and Wealth Engineering would be remiss if they did not offer substantial recognition to their equity partners. These individuals possessed great foresight and provided the financial resources required to enable the Wealth Engineering management team to persevere during an extraordinarily difficult economic period. Because of their assistance both the Questrade and Asia marketing agreements were facilitated. Developing strategic partnerships like these has been core to Mario Romano’s success.
Mario Romano will continue to base in Colts Neck, New Jersey. His company will continue to reach out to global capital markets and those individuals who believe that it is time to take control of their investments. It is a noble vision and Mario Romano could not be more fulfilled.
