Nov. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Seeing the rise in use of digital signage in retail and hospitality, one can say the ways in which they would be most useful is the slowest growing market.

Looking at the variety of benefits of adopting digital signage displays whether it’s as window displays or menu boards. With the cost fast becoming more affordable more and more sectors will adopt this technology and see gains in generating revenue far greater outweighing the cost of the system itself.

We ourselves at ClariView Limited are seeing the rise in these sectors coming forward and seeking our advice on the best possible method of promoting their products some examples would be:
Estate agents wanting a fast and easy method of allowing customers to see listings. In which case we suggested they use an outward facing LCD display which would cycle through the listings which are available. This is far easier seen by customers passing by, as the displays are available in sizes up to 65 Inches. We also suggested they utilise a touch screen display to allow users to cycle through listings on demand, which created an interactive experience which is more enjoyable, and allows the customer to seek information on listings they wish to. And what better than to view a high quality HD picture of your future property and scrap the poorly printed A4 printouts. Not only is it more cost effective it also saves time and is far more environmentally friendly with LCD electricity consumption at the bare minimum.

The above solutions have also been adopted by travel agents to entice passersby with high quality pictures of locations and prices. Nothing will beat the experience of viewing HD quality images of beautiful beaches and resorts.
The hospitality market especially Take-Away’s have been slowly growing to adopt digital menu boards rather than traditional light boxes. With digital menu boards, details within the menu can be edited with ease. There is no need to design a new menu and have it printed before you have to physically insert that in to the light box. The menu boards can also transition menus, so multiple offers can be displayed on one menu screen.

With toughened front glass, they are a commercial solution. Seeing Plasma TV’s being utilised as menu boards is not the correct solution as on a Friday night someone will touch or throw something at the TV and with no toughened glass that’s a big bill.

Digital signage is set to rise with the uses of digital signage displays ever growing and with the awareness the world is seeing the true potential of digital signage.
