Palkoo offers 800$ prize to the design concept we’ll love most (it has to be original, creative, simple and clean, representative for Twitter users).
Since its release Twitter went through 3 different default avatar pictures. The first one was a brown smiley face which users find kind of weird. Some bitter users said to be the ugliest avatar on web in color and execution. This drawing is supposed to represent someone who is confused, surprised or in disbelief.
The second avatar represented by the Twitter bird (in a variation of colors) is considered to be a proper brand extension. Users said that, although is not the best avatar by any means, this new avatar is definitely prettier than the old one.
About a month ago Twitter changed the bird avatar with a new one: the drawing of an egg. Theories that have circulated among users say perhaps the egg signifies a new user, new beginnings, the birthing of tweets. Some users find this new avatar interesting due to its incredible simplicity, other users say this is still lacking creativity and didn’t gain their sympathy.
