SANTA CLARA, CA – Personal therapy counselor and two-time breast cancer survivor Jamie Inman is celebrating her recent nomination for “Outstanding Philanthropist”
“The Giving Ribbon was the idea of Jamie Inman who brought breast cancer survivors and caregivers together to provide Caring Connections to information, resources, and emotional support for San Benito County residents, newly diagnosed or living with breast cancer, and their families. The Giving Ribbon provides practical support and information through brochures that list resources that are available in San Benito County and nearby towns as well as our loving support. It is with pleasure and honor that the board of The Giving Ribbon honors our founder, President, and two-time breast cancer survivor, Jamie Inman.” Officially announced the board of the Community Foundation for San Benito County late last week.
The Community Foundation for San Benito County is one of hundreds of community outreach foundations, which serve as a bridge between donors and the institutions they support. The Foundation provides grants to community groups from funds established by individuals, families, businesses and others that want to support the work of nonprofits, schools, and other groups that address community concerns. Since its formation in 1992, the Community Foundation for San Benito County has donated more than $900,000 to a variety of local causes and nonprofits.

Jamie is a professional motivational speaker and teacher as well, speaking on a wide array of topics such as: “Losing Our Breasts, Finding Ourselves,” “How To Have A Happy Marriage: Only The First 25 Years are Hard,” and “Finding Myself in a Psych Ward.” A two-time breast cancer survivor and Psychotherapist, Jamie specializes in counseling for a wide selection of emotional and spiritual needs. Jamie Inman is the Founder of the Stay in the Pink organization, a resource for women and men undergoing treatment for breast cancer. Jamie is also one of the Founders and the current President of The Giving Ribbon (TheGivingRibbon.org)
