Eco Friendly Fashion Company “Upcycles” Alluminium Cans Into Designer Fashion

With a growing trend in eco-fashion, this year’s Christmas must have is “upcycled” fashion accessories spotted on celebrities like Paris Hilton and Will.i.am from the Black Eyed Peas.

Featured on the catwalk of Paris’s ethical fashion show this year, award winning Escama Studio’s line of eco friendly handbags and accessories are handmade in Brazil by a fair trade women’s co-op. Hundreds of post-consumer, recycled, aluminium ring pulls are hand woven into designer bags and accessories.

Not only are the bags eco-friendly but they are ethically made with all women receiving a fair wage and support in building their business. Each item features a tag signed individually by the person who made it.

Upcycling, as it is referred to is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new better products - turning trash into treasure. Nowhere has it been more embraced than in the fashion world.
