Wood Green Animal Shelters will be at Pets At Home, in St Peters Road, Huntingdon on Saturday ( November 20) to offer low cost cat microchipping and advice between 10am and 3pm.
The cost of a microchip will be £5 (minimum donation to the charity) instead of the usual veterinary price of around £20.
Outreach officer for the Charity, Hayley Hurley, said: “Having your cat microchipped is the only way to ensure it is permanently identified to you and is much more likely to be returned to you if lost or stolen. Only 10 per cent of our stray cats were reunited with their owners last year, the others were rehomed as we were unable to trace their owners without a microchip.”
No appointment is necessary but please ensure your cat arrives in a suitable carrying box on the day.
