Black is based on the theme showing how religious minorities, especially Hindus are being repressed in Muslim Bangladesh.
The film shows the breeding of Jihadists inside Madrassas [Koranic Schools] and various types of crime inside these institutions, including sodomy by the Madrassa teachers. Students of Madrassas are regularly violated and raped by the Madrassa teachers.
It also shows how Muslim societies are continuing to repress women in the name of Sharia Law and how women are treated as mere sexual pleasure tools by the Muslim societies. Issue of polygamy has been very prominently projected in the script.
The film very boldly challenges few Koranic verses and misinterpretation of Koran by the Muslim clergies. It also condemns Fatwa [Islamic Rulings].
A total amount of US$ 120 thousand will be spent in this film project which will reach at least 30 million Bangla speaking population in Bangladesh and India as well as the film subsequently will be dubbed in English and other languages reaching the international audiences. Philanthropists around the world are already requested by the makers of this film to come forward with possible assistance in finally implementing this project, since Bangladeshi financial institutions won’t provide loan for this film project.
This is for the first time, a movie against radical Islam and Sharia law is being made in a Muslim country.
