Radio Show Will Address Bullying and Cyber-Bullying

James Knight, Crime Prevention Specialist, will be the Featured Guest on North Ohio’s WHBC 1480 Talk Radio Show, Wriggling in the Middle, On Monday, November 22th at 9am (Eastern Time).

James Knight, Crime Prevention Specialist, will be the featured guest on North Ohio’s WHBC 1480 Talk Radio Show, Wriggling in the Middle, on Monday, November 22 at 9:10 am (Eastern Time).  James Knight will discuss bullying, it’s effects and how you can help prevent it.

Bullying, especially Cyber-Bullying is a growing concern in today’s society.  Linked to several recent suicides among teens, cyber-bullying utilizes technology such as social networks, the internet and cell phones to harass the victim.  James Knight will give examples of bullying, its consequences and what children and adults can do to prevent bullying.  James will also provide information on what to do if you are a victim of cyber-bullying.  

Every Monday from 9-10 a.m. radio hosts Dr. Merle Griff and DeLores Pressley, co-hosts of Wriggling in the Middle (http://www.wrigglingonline.com), discuss the dilemmas and delights of being part of the ‘sandwich generation’ and responsible for the care of multiple generations.  As a special highlight, each show features an expert to add lively discussion and perspective to the show’s topics.  

Jim Knight is the Crime Prevention Specialist with Stark County Prosecuting Attorney John D. Ferrero's office, in the Victim/Witness Division.  He has helped start several Neighborhood Watch Groups throughout the county and has received awards for his efforts in crime prevention.  Jim also has a Stranger Danger and Internet Safety program which he takes to area schools throughout the County.  Jim's goal is to continue speaking and coordinating programs on crime prevention to better educate the public in the future.




Dr. Merle Griff is an expert on caring for both children and aging parents.  She has been a delegate to the last two White Conferences on Aging and invited to present at international conferences such as the World Congress of Family and Child and the Annual Conference of the National Council on Aging.
