Local award winning playwright has another hit and selected by the Stone Haven Theatre Company

Nov. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- Local, award winning (CITA) playwright John Young and his Daughter Ellen Young have another fresh hit Comedy/Drama - "Patron Saint of Pirates".

While attending a business conference in the Caribbean just before the holiday season, a group of participants embark on a Bermuda Triangle Mystery tour, only to have the ship, ironically, capsize in a freak storm.

Set adrift and subjected to hunger, thirst, sun, and sharks, the castaways’ Christmas spirit and hope and are nearly depleted when their raft collides with an 18th Century pirate ship, the North Poole.

In the ensuing clash between crews and cultures, and the struggle to determine what – or who – has drawn them together, many other secrets are exposed. And finally, amidst the mayhem and hilarity, it becomes clear that Christmas works in mysterious ways.

Patron Saint of Pirates is the Fourth full length dramatic script written by John Young and 2nd by Ellen Young. This is the first perfomance of Patron Saint of Pirates by the Stone Haven Theatre Company  in conjunction with the writers.  

The Stone Haven Theatre Company will be performing the play "Patron Saint of Pirates"  on the following dates:
Saturday, Dec 11th  @ 7:00pm
Sunday, Dec 12th @ 10:30am
Friday, Dec 17th @ 7:00pm  
Saturday, Dec 18th @ 7:00pm

The Stone Haven Theatre Company presents many dramatic offerings throughout the year, written by church members and others, with bigger productions at Easter and Christmas. It  is located within the Stone Haven Free Methodist church in Troy Michigan.
