Grantham University Sponsors Roundtable Discussion on Service Members in Higher Education

Grantham University is sponsoring an important roundtable discussion, “Higher Education: Serving the Servicemember and Veteran Student,” hosted by the Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities (APSCU) on Wednesday, November 17th.

Nov. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- Kansas City, Mo. – Grantham University, an online university dedicated to providing educational opportunities to working adults, is sponsoring an important roundtable discussion, “Higher Education: Serving the Servicemember and Veteran Student,” hosted by the Association of Private Sector Colleges and Universities (APSCU) on Wednesday, November 17th.  The roundtable will include open discourse on the important issues and needs of military and veteran students and a keynote address by Vice Admiral David L. Brewer III, US Navy (Ret.), Former Vice Chief of Naval Education and Training.

The event will also feature speakers from Congress, and panelists with extensive experience with military and veteran postsecondary education, including: Mike Brinck, Republican Staff Director, House Committee on Veterans Affairs, Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity: Kathy Snead, President of Servicemembers Opportunity Colleges (SOC); Tim Embree, Legislative Associate for the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA); and Dr. Craig Herndon, Special Assistant to the Chancellor of Virginia’s Community Colleges; and Will Sampson, a veteran, ECPI graduate and Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer ECB Bankcorp, Inc.
