Old Father Christmas comes to Tudor World

Nov. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- Children are in for a wonderful experience this Christmas when Old Father Christmas makes a special appearance at Tudor World in Stratford upon Avon during their Tudor festivities. Children can meet him in his secret grotto set in one of Stratford most magical buildings, Shakespeare himself probably frequented during the yuletime season! Meeting Father Christmas is free to those who have purchased a ticket in visit the museum and every child receives a gift. Children can also try out the Christmas Quiz or visit the Tudor Christmas displays.

For the grown-ups, it will be a more ‘chilling’ Christmas within what is reputed to be the most haunted building in England (according to Horrible Histories author Terry Deary!) Evening events include eerie lantern lit ghost tours with mulled wine and mince pies on Christmas Eve and ghost tour with Buck Fizz on New Year’s Eve or a haunted pub walk of Stratford with spirits of a different sort included! Even a mini overnight ghost hunt for those looking to meet the ghost of Christmas past for themselves.

Meet Father Christmas in his grotto on Saturday, 11th & 18th & 20th-23rd(Father Christmas is included in the entry ticket to the museum or £2 per child if not wishing to visit museum on this occasion). Christmas Quiz—11th to 24th December. Tudor Christmas Display—11th December to 1st January. Haunted Pub Walk of Stratford (including spirits) Saturday, 18th December at 8.00pm £17.50. Christmas Eve Ghost tour with mulled wine and mince pies—24th December at 6pm £7.50. New Year’s Eve Ghost tour with Bucks Fizz—31st December at 6pm £7.50. Normal Lantern lit ghost tours will be operating every evening except on 25/11, 16/12 and 23/12 and 25/12. Ghosts of Christmas Past Mini Ghost Hunt—11th December at 10pm £29.95. As our Christmas Gift to local residents, there will be a free entry to the museum (normal conditions apply) on Thursday, 16th & 23rd December 5-7pm. Bespoke Christmas events on application.
