Ipanema Technologies signs global services deal with NCR

Nov. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- November 16, 2010 – PARIS, France – Ipanema Technologies, the industry leader in Wide Area Network (WAN) governance solutions and application-centric Virtual Private Network (VPN) services, today announced a global services agreement with NCR Corporation  that will see NCR provide a comprehensive set of implementation and maintenance services to service providers, system integrators and Value Added Resellers (VARs) using Ipanema’s portfolio of technologies to build application-based VPN services.

This agreement includes NCR providing around-the-clock shipment, installation, helpdesk and on-site maintenance services to enable Ipanema’s partners to achieve the highest possible levels of system availability and continuity on a global basis.

Desktop virtualization, unified communications, web applications, video streaming, telepresence, hybrid networks and the evolution to cloud computing all require predictable, real-time, optimized and controlled network performance. There is a significant business opportunity for service providers to go beyond basic transport services and provide an autonomic network infrastructure for their enterprise customers as a strategic asset in the overall IT chain.
