CIMA Youth Leadership Conference

PRLog (Press Release) - Nov. 15, 2010 - CIMA YOUTH LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE AT WHITTIER COLLEGE
NOVEMBER 18TH, 2010

CIMA (Core Institute for Motivational Advancement) is co-sponsoring, with Whittier College, its 2010 Youth Leadership Conference, on November 18th from 8:30am-11:30am.  Subtitled “Moving Closer to your Dreams, Your Commitment, Your Community, Your Generation,”  the half-day conference will bring in 250 of local student leaders together to “help energize and motivate our youth to ensure the sustainability and growth of their college readiness and to help them secure a path to meaningful careers.”

The Conference will help young American leaders from all over Southern California learn about their own and others’ cultures, while developing leadership skills, thus helping them to embrace their futures.  

Speakers at the even will be the faculty at Whittier College, lecturing on how students can best choose a college, how to find scholarships, internship opportunities, as well as creating a blueprint for success.

The main goal of CIMA (founded in 2000) is to work with young people from all ethnicities, acting as an extension of the educational system by providing access to continued exposure within the Liberal Arts, Music, Dance, Theatre, and Film Production, in addition to providing role models in Leadership and Entrepreneurship.

CIMA provides continued guidance, using one-on-one mentoring, coaching, education, inspiration and motivation to assist the student in succeeding in their chosen fields.

The half-day event will be this Thursday, November 18th, at Whittier College, 13406 East Philadelphia St., Whittier.
