Ventrac Announces Two New Spreaders for Snow and Ice Management

Nov. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- Ventrac announces the addition of TWO new accessories for Snow and Ice Management.  Ventrac has just released the SS300 and SS575 Spreaders for easy application of snow melting agents for sidewalks, parking lots and other high traffic snow maintenance areas.  

The new salt spreader models, SS300 and SS575, are designed as an efficient method to apply winter melting agents and will distribute everything from calcium flake to rock salt.   The spreading widths vary, depending on the model and options chosen and will spread material in narrow areas as well as up to 40 feet.   Both the  SS300 and SS575 Spreaders are designed to be mounted on the back of a Ventrac tractor and provide an efficient method of spreading deicing materials for any snow management operation.    

The SS300 Spreader will spread calcium flake or rock salt in narrow spots as well as up to 25 feet spreading widths.  It holds up to 260 lbs. of materials with a 3 cubic foot capacity.  The SS300 Spreader features an electronic control box with variable speeds to allow for precise material application.   The easy to clean, one-piece polyethylene hopper comes standard with a fitted see-through lid and has an optional drop curtain to allow a more controlled application for sidewalks, parking garages or other tight quarters.

The SS575 Spreader is capable of spreading multiple materials like bagged rock salt, calcium flake, calcium pellets, bulk salt and ice melters.   With an optional gate installed, the SS575 can spread bagged ice melters and calcium pellets.   An optional vibrator kit also allows the SS575 to spread bulk salt.  The spreader features a 5.75 cubic feet polyethylene hopper capable of carrying 460 lbs. and comes standard with a see-through fitted weather cover.   An electronic control box with speed controls and On/Off switch are also standard.    The SS575 is a versatile spreader that can apply materials precisely in smaller areas with the addition of an optional drop curtain or will throw materials at a 40 feet width for larger areas.
