AUTOMOBILE ENTHUSIAST CLUB READY TO WELCOME THE RETURN OF FIAT AUTOMOBILES TO NORTH AMERICA

Club Fiat-Lancia Unlimited Largest Fiat Branded Club in North America

(DETROIT, MI November 17, 2010) Club Fiat-Lancia Unlimited (FLU, www.flu.org), North America’s largest enthusiast club for owners of Fiat-branded automobiles, welcomes the return of new Fiat automobiles to the United States and Canada following a more than 25-year absence. The club has announced that it stands ready to assist Fiat in promoting the sales and ownership experience of North American versions of Fiat vehicles.

Club Fiat-Lancia Unlimited (FLU), which is dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of Fiats and other Italian cars, was founded in 1983, the same year that Fiat ceased selling cars in the USA.  Since the club’s inception, it has grown to be one of the most active enthusiasts groups of its kind in the world.  The “Fiat FreakOut”, is the club’s annual international convention which draws nearly 500 participants each year from all over the USA, Canada, and several foreign countries.  The club welcomes owners of any Italian marque, and looks forward to offering assistance to Chrysler dealerships and Fiat studios in promoting the purchase and ownership experience of the Italian automaker’s highly-acclaimed sporty and fuel-efficient cars.

Club FLU members were the first to be able to reserve the new Fiat 500. In July 2010, Fiat North America head Laura Soave reward the long-time enthusiasts with the opportunity to reserve a special-edition vehicle, the Fiat 500 'Prima Edizione'.  

In addition to conducting numerous gatherings and local events throughout North America, Club Fiat-Lancia Unlimited maintains an official internet website, www.flu.org, an active Facebook site, and publishes a full-color bi-monthly newsletter, RICAMBI, which is packed with articles, technical tips and classified ads.  

The club's 28th annual National Convention, Fiat FreakOut, will be held July 20-25, 2011 in Nashville, TN at the Sheraton Music City Hotel.
