New Casino in Palma de Mallorca. Spain

Nov. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- The casino de mallorca will be relocated next year from Magaluf to the  Porto Pi center  a popular shopping center  close to the center of Palma de mallorca

Porto Pi shopping center  is Palma's biggest  shopping mall  in Majorca and is situated  just a few  km from the city center. with boutiques like Mango, Zara, Etam  Springfield, Etam and the department store Carrefour as well as a number of cafes and restaurants.    you'll find everything you need here.
Bus 3 stops just outside Porto Pi  and will bring you in 10 minutes to the center of Palma de Mallorca

The opening of the new two storey 2700 square meter casino is to be expected mid February  of the next year. Once open there  will  be work for over 150 people.
The casino and the restaurant will be located on the first floor and the second floor will be for the staff and administration

The move from the old location Magaluf was necessary because  it was too far from the center of Palma de Mallorca. There has been a lot of protest from different groups about the relocation to Porto pi. These groups asked the City Council to deny the license to the Casino de Mallorca.
One of the reasons ithey use is that Balearic law says,  that casinos should be located on the outskirts of cities to prevent easy access to minors and those with gambling addictions.Also there is opposition from local Bingo hall owners who fears that the casino will take over their clients

The old casino situated just outside of Magalluf in the quiet village of Sol de Mallorca will be now used for entertainment shows like the Broadway show 'Come Fly with Me'  , also the casino can be used for private parties and conferences.
