Follow on Google News | WOCNCB Announces Scholarship to Nurse In Washington InternshipThe Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB) announces its second annual scholarship to the 2011 Nurse in Washington Internship (NIWI). The online application process is open through December 20, 2010.
By: Marsha Berenson, WOCNCB Marketing Manager The scholarship is open to any current WOCNCB-certified nurse who is not currently serving on the WOCNCB board of directors. “Health care reform has become of paramount importance to this board, our certificants and the entire nation,” says Diana Gallagher, MS, RN, CWOCN, CFCN and president of the WOCNCB board of directors. “By sponsoring a NIWI scholarship, we empower the scholarship winner to participate in important dialogs about patient care and healthcare reform.” The WOCNCB scholarship includes internship registration, travel to Washington, D.C., lodging expenses, and a stipend for meals. The WOCNCB NIWI scholarship application process is open now and will conclude at 11:59 p.m. Central Time on December 20, 2010.
