The “Get Hitched” campaign (http://www.wecelebrateyou.com/
Earlier this year, “Get Hitched” co-sponsor, Celebrations Catering & Events (http://www.wecelebrateyou.com), formed a small steering committee composed of Hilton Head’s best and brightest businesses, caterers and wedding planners. After several months of publicity, particularly from the “Get Hitched” campaign’s primary media sponsor, CH2 Magazine (http://www.celebratehiltonhead.com), the campaign quickly grew into an extensive list of donations and sponsorships that fulfilled all of the requirements for the wedding. Celebrations Catering & Events Director, Molly Kennedy, explained that what started out as a small steering committee quickly blossomed into a large grouping of commitments from a variety of wedding vendor-sponsors.
According to Kennedy, “Every aspect of this wedding weekend is happening thanks to community donations.” She adds, “Since the caliber of the companies who are participating in “Get Hitched” is top-notch, this wedding will be the consummate celebration for Julie and Dave, and a great model for other couples who are window shopping for their own venue for a dream wedding.”
The culmination of the weekend-long celebration will be the “Get Hitched” sunset wedding ceremony on the 18th Lawn at Harbour Town in The Sea Pines Resort on Saturday afternoon. Guests will board historic trolleys immediately afterward and travel to the reception at Hilton Head’s Windows on the Waterway (http://www.wecelebrateyou.com/
