Phillips had spent the morning of the Festival working with children in three “Inspiration”
"It is crucial for all children -- whatever their age, race, or background -- to learn and develop self-esteem, character, leadership traits, and life-skills. These form the amazing core from which everything else positive in kids’ lives can be built," said Phillips.
Phillips’ customized approach to working with leadership-focused kids at the Fall Festival is indicative of her passion and dedication to helping all kids and schools reach their goals. It was just over a month ago that she motivated her network of supporters and volunteers to help fill the empty library shelves at Juan Soria Elementary School in Oxnard, CA with a donation of over 2500 books, an event reported by KEYT News. http://www.keyt.com/
Additional interactive Centers for the children to explore included "Culinary Arts" overseen by The Lazy Dog Cafe' and "Animal Leadership" presented by the K-9 Program of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.
