Hunter Douglas Creative Window Awards 2010 Prize Giveaway

Nov. 10, 2010 - PRLog -- Kuala Lumpur, 31st Oct, 2010 – Hunter Douglas Window Fashions held a prize giving event at Alexis, The Gardens, to celebrate the winners of Creative Windows Awards contest. This private event was attended by the winners as well as Hunter Douglas Dealers and media representatives. The Grand Prize Winner walked away with a 32 inch LCD TV and cash prize worth RM 3,000 and four Consolation Prize Winners walked away with RM 1,500 each.

The Hunter Douglas Creative Windows Awards is an initiative to reward the customers for using Hunter Douglas window covering products and to raise an interest for non-professionals in home decorating. An overwhelming amount of response was received for this contest which ended at the end of August 2010.

The selection of prize winners were made using the following criterias. Firstly, the overall concept of window and interior design. This includes the good combination of  window coverings with the room’s interior as marrying aesthetics and functionality is a challenge for most people. However many do achieve this through Hunter Douglas Window Fashions product through the ‘before’ and ‘after’ picture of the rooms submitted. The clever usage and control of natural light and privacy in rooms was also a main point considered during judging. The right amount of light coming into one’s home would impact on the amount of energy the home uses. Hunter Douglas aims to reduce carbon footprints with its energy saving products.
