Club location provides inspiration for the outdoor painting as it is a post industrial site surrounded by wetlands, meadows and trees.The site was recently beautified, preserved and developed by Evergreen ebw.evergreen.ca. and became destination for family friendly activities.
The Don Valley Art Club has a rich cultural heritage with many programs that include painting sessions, socializing, lectures and demonstrations by guest artists, workshops, and painting excursions. The club has 170 members and a growing waiting list. The DVAC is registered non-profit organization, it provides an opportunity to the citizens of Toronto to learn about and participate in the visual arts.
The DVAC traditionally presents three exhibitions per year in the gallery at Todmorden Mills, offering for sale works of their members, often established and experienced artists.
The upcoming event - Small and Large Picture Art Show and Sale is a great occasion to visit Gallery and get acquainted with works of Don Valley Club artists. The event and Parking are Free.
