      Literary Treasure Hunt Ending

The $25,000 dagger is still hidden…but only for 30 more days.

The best selling mystery, Vegas Die, by author Stephen Grogan, has hidden clues within its pages that would lead treasure hunters (known as “Questors”) to a dagger redeemed by the publisher for $25,000 cash.

The hunt in progress for the last two years now ends on December 14th.  Hundreds of Questors have sent in thousands of guesses on the dagger’s location.  Has anyone been close?

“Yes, there have been some near guesses,” says Author Grogan, the only one who knows the location of the dagger. “But these Questors took a last minute wrong turn and missed the discovery.”

Grogan says he is amazed at the intelligence of the Questors who have dissected the book looking for clues.  “Among mystery fan readers, there have been scientists, cryptologists and computer geeks tearing apart every word and nuance to gain the right path.”

“My goal was to write a mystery seamless, that is a reader saw nothing out of the ordinary except a good story. But then could re-read Vegas Die and realize there were findable clues.”

There is an active website forum, www.VegasDie.com, where Questors exchange ideas and analyze the story, always aware of the Quest Mystery™ mantra: “Nothing Is As It Seems”.  If the dagger is not discovered at the close of the contest, Grogan intends to post the solution on the website, and the publisher will add the explanation to any subsequent issues of Vegas Die.

Grogan has taken his treasure hunting motif into another mystery novel, recently published. Captain Cooked offers a Hawaiian war club hidden somewhere on the Big Island of Hawaii, and the clues require you to use GPS and tour the island searching for the prize.

For a $25,000 treasure, the countdown begins.  Vegas Die is available through all major bookstores and in most e-book formats.
