Olympia Medical Center Offers Free Education & Foot Screenings Nov 16 Featuring Actress Marla Gibbs

Nov. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES -- Multi-award winning film and television actress, comedienne, game show panelist and singer, Marla Gibbs, will attend a Free Diabetes Education And Foot Screenings Event at Olympia Medical Center to help raise awareness of National Diabetes Month.

Marla Gibbs is also the spokesperson for the Center for Wound Management and Hyperbaric Medicine at Olympia – as well as a previously healed patient.
With a staff of physicians, nurses, nutritionists, and diabetes educators the Center for Wound Management and Hyperbaric Medicine will host an event featuring foot screening and education for National Diabetes Month on Tuesday, November 16th, 2010 from 11am to 6pm at Olympia’s Center For Wound Management And Hyperbaric Medicine At Olympia Medical Center located at 5901 W. Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90036.

The goal of this event is to provide education to diabetics and non-diabetics alike about how to prevent diabetes complications and highlight early detection of complications.  
At Olympia Medical Center’s Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine Program, the treatment for these complications is paramount in preventing diabetics from lower extremity amputations.
