Nov. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- New York, NY – The GreenHarvest Group (US) LLC has announced its Feed the Earth Initiative, a philanthropic endeavor that aims to employ GreenHarvest™ technology to benefit the world.  The company has invited the world community to help shape the concept.

GreenHarvest™ is a natural healthy growth compound that can effectively replace chemical fertilizers to maximize crop yields and improve soil quality anywhere healthy plant growth is desired.  Effects of applying GreenHarvest™ to soil include increased soil organic matter, reduced Nitrogen application, improved soil structure and water retention, reduced erosion and reduced nutrient runoff.  For environmental and humanitarian applications, GreenHarvest™ possesses two important capabilities: Nitrogen reduction and restoration of barren and damaged land.

Under the Feed the Earth Initiative, The GreenHarvest Group is working to identify the best ways to employ these capabilities to restore industrially damaged and infertile land, clean up polluted waterways and increase access to food for people in need of nourishment.  “Feed the Earth™”, also the GreenHarvest™ product slogan, refers to the process of nourishing the soil and the plant in order, ultimately, to nourish people.  It is upon this principle that GreenHarvest™ technology is based.

The Feed the Earth Initiative is still in its early stages of development and the company is continually evaluating possible uses of the technology to benefit worthwhile causes.  In an effort to maximize the initiative’s impact, The GreenHarvest Group has solicited input from the world community.  “We recognize that there are many causes out there of which we are not aware, and which could benefit meaningfully from GreenHarvest™ technology,” said GreenHarvest Group President, Jason Larson.  “That’s why we’re asking people around the world to weigh in with their ideas.  Whether you’re in Haiti, Africa or Washington, DC, tell us how GreenHarvest™ can benefit your cause and we’ll try make it happen.”

The company invites anyone with an idea for the Feed the Earth Initiative to visit www.greenharvestgroup.com and make a suggestion.  “The transformative power of GreenHarvest™ technology for world soils is significant and far-reaching,” added Larson, “I you want to help us feed the Earth, just visit our site, learn what GreenHarvest™ can do and then let us know how you'd like to see it employed.”

The GreenHarvest Group is a privately held limited liability company that is redefining sustainable agriculture and food production. The GreenHarvest Group’s core mission is to advance new and innovative technology to feed the Earth in a way that is economically, socially and ecologically sustainable.  The company is the exclusive US licensee of GreenHarvest™ technology.
