The BLACKCHERRY special edition is based on the VTR+ model and will be powered by the firm’s 1.6-litre HDi diesel engine which produces 89bhp.
Priced at £15,195, the car features glossy black paintwork with cherry red highlights as well as 17” alloy wheels and an interior which continues the black and red theme. Air conditioning, USB and Bluetooth connectivity and cruise control will come as standard.
Citroen also revealed a number of changes across the mini-MPV range, including a new 1.6-litre HDI diesel engine featuring economy of nearly 59mpg and an improvement in CO2 emissions by 5g/km over the previous engine.
Tweaks to the rest of the diesel engines mean that all HDi-engined cars will qualify for free road tax in the first year of registration, and the whole of the C3 Picasso(http://www.autotrader.co.uk/
Changes have also been made to the 1.4-litre VTi petrol unit, resulting in fuel economy improving from 42.8mpg to 44.1mpg and a reduction of 4g/km CO2 in the engine’s emissions.
Buyers of the VTR+ and Exclusive trims will also now enjoy standard-fit USB and Bluetooth connectivity and all Picassos will be fitted with Michelin Energy Saver tyres in a bid to improve CO2 emissions.
Prices for the revised range start at £12,695 for the entry-level 1.4 VTi, rising to £16,795 for the range-topping 1.6 HDi 108bhp Exclusive.
The Blackcherry special edition and revisions to the rest of the C3 Picasso range will be introduced in the UK on November 1.
