Direct Mail Marketing Is Still a Valuable Tool

Nov. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- With the current technologies and marketing channels that are available today, direct mail marketing may seem like a thing of the past.

But that’s not the case, according to Philippe Graner, Marketing Director of J. Schmid & Associates, Inc.

Firms still use direct mail marketing, he said, and get results. The key is using the tool in the right way.

“When you look at the clients who come in through the print channel verses the online channel, obviously it’s much cheaper to get clients online but they don’t have same kind of frequency or the life time value,” Graner says.

But both channels are valuable and should be used in conjunction with each other.

“The best customers, the ones that have loyalty and stay with you, still come in through the print channel,” Graner said. “That said, if you don’t market online, you’re going to be missing a portion of your audience that doesn’t respond to print, and essentially wasting money.”
