Ball Boys Tryout Comes to a Closure and Winners Excited to Be on the Stage of Their Dream

Nov. 7, 2010 - PRLog -- The audition for the ball boys for the “Rise of Legends 2011" (http://www.riseoflegends2011.com/en/index.php) has officially closed on Saturday (10/27), and the results will be announced next Tuesday (10/26). Boys and girls who entered the audition had showcased their eagerness and passion for the opportunity to be on the same stage with the four star athletes, as well as the chance to be part of the memorable moment in Taiwanese tennis history.

The ball boys audition took place at Taichung Integrations Sports Center. The participants were dressed in the sporting uniforms provided by Integrations Sports, and their athletic abilities and attitudes were being tested on the clay courts. The challenges included shuttle run, eye-hand coordination, and English proficiency. All the participants completed tasks given such as retrieving and delivering the balls, and delivering the towels with their best effort.

The 14-year-old Da-yu Chen (陳大羽), who had been playing tennis for two years, said that he entered the audition mainly for the experience, and will not stress too much over the results. Another participant Ying-ze Chen (陳穎澤), who had also entered the Boys 12 HopeTennis Juniors Tournaments said that he “will not fret too much, but wishes to be chosen.”

Wei-hua Liao (廖韋華) had his hopes up for the position after he impressed the judges with his fluent English. As for the curly haired Ding-zhong Chen (陳鼎中), nicknamed “Squirm” by his family, his mother hopes that he will learn valuable lessons through this high-caliber international tennis event.

The participants for the audition are expecting the coming of “Rise of Legends 2011” with all their heart, for it will not only be a glorious moment of Taiwanese tennis, but also an experience that they will treasure for many years to come.
