Alyn Darnay to Guest on The Jimmy Star Show
Award-winning talent Alyn Darnay has obtained both commercial and artistic success in the film industry, a feat rarely achieved and coveted by many. Well-known for his innovation in film, Darnay's work has been honored with sixteen awards of excellence, most recently being four Telly Awards, two Axiem Awards, two Aurora Awards, and a Videography Award for writing and directing. His Chaos Films full service production company in Miami and Chicago is the go-to company of the industry for commercial, music, feature and corporate film, video, and HD production. His latest book, The Script: A Breakthrough Guide to Scriptwriting is praised as being the new bible of the industry, and his intensive scriptwriting workshop series are giving rise to award-winning projects.
Alyn Darnay got his start in advertising, earning his Masters in Advertising Psychology and working with industry leaders like Leo Burnett, J. Walter Thompson, and Robert L. Edens, eventually opening his own firm, Alyn Darnay Productions, a Michigan Avenue advertising and production company with national clients ranging from Volkswagen to McDonalds, which he operated for eleven years. Combining his commercial experience and his creative experience working with MGM, 20th Century Fox, and Famous Players Corporation, along with his own unique ideas, untiring drive, and worldly style led him to form Chaos Films, and hence to the success of his many subsequent projects. A leader, Darnay has chosen to share his knowledge for the betterment of the industry and also writes entertainment columns, performs guest lectures at film festivals, colleges and universities, is on staff at the Miami Film School, and periodically teaches courses for the Florida Film Institute.
Alyn's most recent projects include the feature Spin for Global Film Partners, the newest Ali Vegas video, directing duties on the romantic drama Secrets To Savor, and his road picture The Art of Roadkill which won the 4 top awards (Best Director, Screenplay, Editing, and Musical Score) in the Miami 48 Hour Film Project. His film, Smooth Operator was screened twice at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival and at The Phoenix International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival and has won wide audience approval at the Delray Beach Film Festival, the Orlando Hispanic Film Festival, ShockerFest International Film Festival, and The Sacramento Horror Film Festival. Alyn has also just completed a starring role in the new play Macon City, Marco Ramirez’s acclaimed graphic novel adapted to the stage, and his latest film Bummed Out is currently in post-production editing.
