Nov. 5, 2010 - PRLog -- London property prices fell 20 per cent or more in the wake of the credit crunch. Property prices are now above their peaks of September 2007 in 22 of the capital's 154 postcodes according to a London property price survey conducted by UK property website, Zoopla.

Property prices on the "Jubilee line corridor" of north west London have recovered faster since the crash than in any other part of London, according to research. from Zoopla. St John's Wood NW8 tops the list of London postcodes where property prices have now passed their 2007 peaks. The average St John's Wood home is valued at £888,840, almost seven per cent above property prices in September 2007, according to the house price survey.

Of the top 12 London postcodes, five property price hot spots are on the Jubilee line which runs through North West London to the West End, The City and Docklands.- St John's Wood; NW2 (served by Dollis Hill and Neasden stations), NW3 (Swiss Cottage), NW6 (Kilburn and West Hampstead), and NW10 (Willesden Green).

Paramount Properties are London estate and letting agents, based in West Hampstead, specialising in buying selling, renting and letting houses, penthouses, lofts, studios, flats and apartments in the Jubille Line corridor postcodes of London NW3, London NW2 / NW10, London NW6 and London NW8 / W9

'Paramount have seen a great improvement to the property market in 2010, we have had a lot of new people registering and a lot of the buyers who have been registered for a couple of years coming back to us. There has been a constant flow of properties coming to the market this year but unfortunately never enough to keep up with demand,' said David Warren, who has been based at Paramount Properties in West End Lane for the last 11 years.

''West Hampstead, Kilburn and the surrounding areas are a great place to live with many restaurants, shops and great transport links for shopping or entertaining in the West End or for work in the City or Docklands. The area has a lot of City workers and young proffesionals and the most common reasons for people moving are babies arriving, jobs changing, couples moving in together, and people wanting to upgrade their property,'' he added.

''The great thing about working in West Hampstead and Kilburn is that we always have a market. These buyers and vendors often know before the rest of the UK what is happening. This make our property price drops quicker and earlier than you will see in other London areas and property prices rise equally rapidly when recovering.'' David contiued.
