Realize Records Prepares To Spread Some London-based L.u.v. To The World

Nov. 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Realize Records announced today that the band L.U.V. has joined forces with the label and will be an exciting new addition to the roster. L.U.V. is a London-based female rock ‘n’ roll band with a charismatic front man from Hollywood, California.  The label will be releasing their self titled E.P. on January 18th 2011.

The band was the brainchild of singer/songwriter Jimmy Sweet, former member of Hot Hot Heat, Richmond Sluts and Rolan Bolan.  Label representatives began considering L.U.V. after meeting the personality in an unlikely place – a grocery store.  “Once we saw him onstage, we knew we had to capture that energy for the label,” says CEO Michel Grey. If Iggy Pop, Goldfrapp, The Cramps and Peaches spawned a love child, you would have L.U.V. Sweet has performed with many bands, but he states, “L.U.V. is my baby.  This is the band that I’m pouring everything into.”

Along with Sweet comes a sexy trio - Claire, Holly and Kasia.  The blonde, brunette and redhead trio make up the rest of L.U.V. Bassist Claire has appeared internationally in live performances and music videos, and has written several film scores. On drums and percussion is Holly, who has performed in numerous live shows and was accepted into Paul McCartney’s Fame School. The synth-player Kasia, originally from Poland, went to music school at a very young age before abandoning classical music and discovering her talents in rock 'n' roll.  The major accomplishments and talents of the rockers mixed in with their overall appeal establish a show that you won't easily forget.    

For the past few months, L.U.V. has been working to create what has become the self-titled CD “L.U.V.” The E.P. was produced by Dan Horne(formerly with Wolfmother)and highlights old-American rock 'n’ roll infused with British electro pop that creates a sound of its own.

Currently L.U.V. is gearing up to release their EP in early 2011 in London, England.  Along with the CD release party, L.U.V. launches the "Dirty, Sexy, Rock n Roll" tour with performances scheduled at various venues throughout London beginning in November.
