By: Sydnee Fox This record-breaking number was due to the organization’ “Last year we set a goal of reaching 1,000 children with our Youth Mountain Biking program and quiet frankly, it was a lofty goal we hoped to achieve, but didn’t realistically know if we would be able to accomplish it,” said Andrew Goodwillie, Executive Director of TFKD/B. “In order to accomplish this goal we needed to have a 45 percent increase this season. We wouldn’t have been able to achieve this milestone without the help of our sponsors and to all of our volunteers that has helped make this possible.” A 13-year-old, Sasha Price was TFKD/B 1,000 rider of the season. He is a 7th grader at Casy Middle School in Boulder and was born in the Republic of Kalmykia, which is part of Russia.
