NATJA Accepting Award Entries until November 8th from all Travel Journalists, CVBs, DMOs, and Travel Professionals

Nov. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- PASADENA, CA – The North American Travel Journalists Association (NATJA) Annual Media Awards Competition entry period ends Monday, November 8th. All travel media (writers, photographers, video journalists) as well as destination marketing organizations (DMOs/CVBs) are invited to submit. “This is a wonderful way for travel media and destinations to promote themselves as ‘award winning,’” stated Helen Hernandez, CEO of the organization.  “Distinctive marketing and promotion is key in this challenging economic climate. We feel that our awards competition provides a unique opportunity to travel media and destinations to be recognized for what they have accomplished and to utilize the awards as a tool for marketing.”

The prominent competition, now in its 19th year, honors the “best of the best” in travel media journalism, publications, public relations agencies, and destination marketing organizations. The media categories, numbering nearly 50, cover general and special focus travel articles for print and the internet, digital media for travel, and photography. Categories geared specifically for destinations include visitors’ guides, destination videos, websites, and social media marketing.

Winners will receive an array of exciting prizes as well as a “winner’s medallion” that can be used on all collateral materials. Guidelines for the awards program and the official entry form can be found on the NATJA website at: www.natja.org/awards.
Winners will be announced in mid-January, 2011.
