PRLog (Press Release) -
Nov. 3, 2010 - Africa Change International works to educate deprived and underprivileged children to be skilful and knowledgeable, as well as peaceful and law-abiding. The organization encourages school drop-outs and street children to acquire employable skills while also empowering these marginalized young people to possess self-confidence. Two other projects ACI is currently pursuing are its’ education and health programs. The education program sends volunteers to assist the staff at various schools in teaching information technology, science, and mathematics. This program also consists of offering vacation classes in the hopes of keeping children off the streets during summer holidays. ACI’s health initiative supports staff of community hospitals, developing and promoting a health awareness campaign. ACI also arranges organized sporting events such as basketball, hockey and swimming competitions for under-privileged children to participate in.
Currently, Africa Change International seeks social workers, students with an interest in international development, child rights educators, community sanitation officers and healthcare officers to work towards empowering persons in lesser developed countries such as Ghana to realize sustainable growth and development.
