By: Blackhawk The new emulator shares some features of other 560-class emulators from Blackhawk. Most notable is the bus-powered capability, which means the emulator needs no external power source when used as a USB device. The Blackhawk XDS560v2-BP can also be connected to a LAN via an integrated Ethernet port. In addition to traditional JTAG (IEEE 1149.1), the XDS560v2 adds support for IEEE 1149.7 (previously known as cJTAG) and system trace (STM), an interface on the TI heterogeneous multi-core (ARM + DSP) devices. “My company is a well-established embedded tools supplier servicing North America”, said Peter Tympanick, President of Ultimate Solutions, Inc. “Blackhawk has consistently brought to market high performance and feature enriched JTAG emulators enabling USI to maintain its leadership role as a supplier of professional grade development tools." This model provides the ability to connect through the network when the USB ports are not available and a stand-alone configuration is required. The Blackhawk emulator product line covers a wide spectrum of capabilities and features, from a very low cost controller, which sells for $99, all the way up to the XDS560v2 System Trace.
