Ponte Vecchio Living and Blue Ridge Hospice Announce 2nd Annual Benefit and Holiday Preview

Nov. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Winchester, VA, October 28, 2010—Ponte Vecchio Living and Blue Ridge Hospice are combining forces to co-host the second annual Blue Ridge Hospice Benefit and Holiday Preview. The event will be held Thursday, November 11, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Ponte Vecchio Living, a home and lifestyle store located at Creekside Station at 3031 Valley Avenue, Suite 102, in Winchester. The goal of the event is to provide a fun and creative way to generate funds and awareness for Blue Ridge Hospice.  A portion of the sales throughout the event will be donated to the not-for-profit organization to support hospice care and outreach for residents of the Northern Shenandoah Valley. This is the second such event held at the store to benefit Blue Ridge Hospice since Ponte Vecchio Living opened its doors in June of 2009. Refreshments will include Italian sodas and Prosecco for guests to sip while shopping and enjoying home-made cookies and holiday sweets made by members of Blue Ridge Hospice’s Butterfly Club.

We want people to come, have fun, and spend freely to support Hospice care.”

The 2nd Annual Blue Ridge Hospice Benefit and Holiday Preview will feature refreshments and a dazzling array of colorful holiday ornaments and trimmings, as well as almost 3,500 square feet of home furnishings, art, rugs, lighting, décor, holiday serveware, gifts, and more. In honor of the Blue Ridge Hospice mission, guests at the event will have the opportunity to “capture” their own Hospice-themed glittery butterfly ornaments, which will be suspended in flocks from the ceiling. Fifty-percent of each butterfly ornament sold will be contributed to Blue Ridge Hospice. (The butterfly is significant because it figures prominently in the Blue Ridge Hospice logo and embraces the organization’s philosophy of care encapsulated in the slogan, “Brightening Life’s Journey”.) A portion of the sales from other regular- and reduced-priced items throughout the store will also be donated to the not-for-profit.
