The Pepsi Refresh Contest Gives Hope to the United Breast Cancer Foundation

PRLog - Nov. 2, 2010 - Starting November 1, 2010, you can cast your vote for The United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF) at www.refresheverything.com/UBCF to become the Pepsi Refreshing consumer-generated idea believed to make a positive impact on the community.  After the voting concludes on November 30, the top voted finalists for each of the categories ranging from $5,000 - $250,000 will be announced on December 1, 2010.  

There are many hard working Americans who have lost their jobs, do not have health insurance, or face financial hardships on a regular basis.  We all know, breast cancer does not discriminate.  One in eight people will be diagnosed with breast cancer, regardless of the current economy.  UBCF has served communities nation-wide for 10 years and it is critical that more funding is acquired in order to ensure that their mission lives on for years to come.
The mission of UBCF is to make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by and afflicted with breast cancer.  UBCF provides financial support to woman and their families by giving access to preventative and holistic therapies, never denying anyone service regardless of age, race, gender or income, while also giving grants to hospitals active in the research for a cure.  The most important fact is that the United Breast Cancer Foundation came about to ease the stress and strain that cancer can cause a patient and their families, while creating & promoting health and wellness.

Here are the various programs offered through the United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF).  Some are very unique in nature, but all require additional funding which can be provided by the Pepsi Refresh Project.  The grant given will secure the assistance for many more families suffering from the stress and strain breast cancer causes than is currently available at this time.  The different programs offered are: Free Breast Screening, Individual Grants,   Audrey B.
