This is Bay View’s last rowing event for 2010, but the crew’s activity will continue as they pursue fundraising for a new eight-oared shell. The BVA Results: Silver Medal Bay View Freshman Crew: Coxswain-Caitlin Ponko; Stroke- Danielle Hattoy; 7-Catherine Benetti; 6-Michaela McGuirl; 5-Erin Dolan; 4-Cortney Morris; 3-Laura Poulton; 2-Virginia Liberto; Bow-Bridget Clemmey and Coach Mark Laboissiere. Their time for the 2-mile race was 12:48.44, over 40 seconds ahead of 3rd place! First Place Saratoga finished in 12:31.79. 4th Place Bay View First Varsity Crew: Coxswain-Bethany Biszko ‘11, Coxswain; Stroke-Haley Pare ’12; 7-Danielle Riggin ‘12, 6-Chelsea Robin ’11; 5-Erin O’Connell ’13; 4-Kendall Trautman ‘13; 3-Julia Calise ’13; 2-Christine Abram ’11; Bow-Maura Flanagan ’12 and Coach Albin Moser. Their 2 mile time was 12:02.78. Saratoga, the winning crew, finished in 11:17:69. 6th Place Bay View Second Varsity Crew: Coxswain-Nicole Karwashan ‘12; Stroke-Juliette Risica ‘13; 7- Emma Hanlon ’13, 6-Emily Hodess ’13; 5-Vanessa Ghazarian ’11; 4-Hannah Fitzpatrick ’12; 3-Jessica Sciacca ’13; 2-Jessica Silvia ’13; Bow-Lindsey Sanford ’11 and Coach Albin Moser. Their 2 mile time was 12:48.12. Saratoga, the winning crew, finished in 11:41:03. 1st Place NBC Jr. Mixed 2X: Stroke: Danielle Riggin, ‘12 and Bow-Eric Esposito (’12 Wheeler) who finished the two miles in 13:08.52, over 10 seconds ahead of 2nd place Don Rowing Club.
