Nov. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- In January of 2004, Jones Optical moved to a new and larger building. Hours of operation, location and parking make our practice very convenient for our patients. We carry a wide variety of frames in all price ranges, including designer frames and sunglasses. Dr. Burgwald is experienced in prescribing and fitting all types of contact lenses. Our knowledgeable staff is available 6 days per week to take care of your optometric needs. We are all looking forward to serving you and your family with quality, individual care in our new, state-of-the-art office.


Dr. Burgwald bought the practice in 2001 and is our full-time doctor. He graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1993 and is DPA and TPA certified. He brings his previous experience to the practice, working in both a private practice and a major retail chain. Dr. Burgwald specializes in CRT (Corneal Reshaping Technology) lenses and computer vision solutions. See our services page.

Services
We provide eye exams, contact lens evaluation and fitting, frame styling, repairs, and expert adjustments. We also fill outside prescriptions for both eye glasses and contacts.

Our doctor also specializes in fittings for corneal reshaping contacts. These contacts can be worn at night to correct mild nearsightedness without laser surgery.

We're pleased to be one of the first in the area to offer the revolutionary iZON High Resolution Eyeglass Lens. If you suffer from excessive dry eye, ask about punctal plugs. It is a simple and painless option designed to maintain moisture in the eye with your own natural tear production.

Dr. Burgwald is also a participating volunteer in the InfantSEE public health program. This program provides a one time, no cost eye exam to babies ages 6 to 12 months.
