Nov. 2, 2010 - PRLog -- The Competition Commission has approved the ban on the sale of payment protection insurance (PPI) at point of sale of credit cards, loans and mortgages. Under the changes, providers of financial services will now have to wait seven days before they can try and sell PPI to customers.

The Competition Commission will also introduce a series of measures to make the sale of PPI more competitive and guidelines will recommend that those taking it are regularly updated with annual statements of the cover they are entitled to.
