MLB World Series Online: Game 5

Game 5 is Monday, Nov 1. First pitch first pitch 6:57 pm CT, 7:57 EST, or 4:57 p.m. PT. Tonight is an battle between the aces, Tim Lincecum and Cliff Lee.

This is a must win for the Texas Rangers. The San Francisco Giants lead the series 3-1 after Bumgarner pitched a shutout in Game 4 Sunday night with six strikeouts in eight innings. The Rangers could not string together enough runs for plate a single run and suffered only their second shutout of the season on their home field. Bumgarner's night was even more impressive considering his is the 4th youngest pitcher to ever start a world series game.

Sanchez seemed to do it all at second base last night making all three outs on three solid defensive plays. Cody Ross also had an excellent catch in right field to keep the Rangers off the bases.

Hunter kept the game close and only gave up two solo homeruns, but once again the Rangers could not generate enough offense to keep up with the Giants, who are one win away from their first World Series Title since Willie Mays played for the team.

If the Rangers win tonight, the series goes back to San Francisco for the final two games, which are schedueld for Wedesday and Thursday if needed.
