Nov. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- The two-day international conference on globalization co-hosted by Yale and Jindal Universities came to a close on Saturday evening at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, India. The event was attended by several distinguished public figures and scholars from United States and India.

Topics discussed at the conference included a wide variety of contemporary issues such as the enhancement of the rule of law globally and within the United States and India; corporate governance and regulation; problems presented by trade, development and migration; balancing national security strategies and civil liberties; confronting inequality and exclusion through democratic participation; and environmental sustainability in the context of climate change.

With world class universities like Yale showing interest in reaching out to students in India, the conference also demonstrated how the mindset towards the education sector in India is changing.

Commenting at the conference, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister of Haryana said: “…such collaborative efforts with global institutions of educational excellence have already put Haryana on the global map, and I feel elated to see such a university like JGU (http://www.jgu.edu.in) achieving global recognition in its early stage itself”.
