Follow on Google News | Coester Appraisal Group Announces Lender Education Session on Dodd-Frank Act RequirementsFree webinar will focus on lender compliance and address most common lender issues
By: Jeri Yoshida Over 132 pages of the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act are dedicated to appraisal related issues. Among the provisions are fiduciary standards, lender compensation, licensing requirements, disclosure and documentation requirements, new deadlines, and many others. The lender education session will address the some of the most important issues pertaining to lenders within the bill and will be hosted by a seasoned mortgage and real estate trainer with thorough knowledge and expertise of the mortgage requirements in the Dodd-Frank Act. “The Dodd-Frank Act is extensive—there are a lot of new requirements and several of them are vague and hard to interpret,” said Brian Coester, CEO of Coester Appraisal Group. “The general feedback I’m getting from lenders is that they’re either confused or overwhelmed by the mass quantity of detail and information in the bill. With the increasing amount of pressure being put on lenders these days, they’re hungry for answers and explanations. This webinar will address as many of those issues as we can cover in 45 minutes.” Coester Appraisal Group’s series of educational programs has included sessions on how to submit appraisal value reconsiderations and understanding desktop appraisals. Over 400 mortgage professionals attended the value reconsiderations event on October 20, 2010 and nearly 2,000 have registered for the November 2, 2010 seminar on desktop appraisals. “Coester Appraisal Group has been in business for over 30 years and we’ve always had a commitment to going the extra mile and helping our customers achieve success,” said Coester. “Our educational seminars are just an extension of that. The more educated lenders are, the better and safer their loans will be. That’s important for them to achieve success and maintain longevity in the business, and it’s also a huge benefit for the borrower, the housing industry and the overall economy.” For more information on Coester Appraisal Group’s educational seminars, including how to register for an event, please visit www.CoesterAppraisals.com or email sales@coesterappraisals.com Go To Meeting Webinar Training https://www2.gotomeeting.com/ About Coester Appraisal Group: Coester Appraisal Group is a nationwide appraisal management company specializing in high quality appraisal reports that comply with all industry guidelines and regulations.
